Querys in Databases


A query can shorten down your search to find the specific thing you are looking for.
 To make a query you select 'create' and in there you will find 'query design' you then have to click that. You then come up with something like this except your boxes will be empty (picture below).



























you then double click on ' manufacturer' , 'model' so on, all except 'ID'.
To shorten your search you have to click on the criteria row depending on which column you want. In those boxes you put specific symbols.
 

Using forms in databases


A form is a type of a database that you can add colors and images to.Forms can be created using Design view. A form helps you to input data. It can also stops dirty data from entering the database.
The drop down stops you from entering certain things.An example is a shape sorter, the drop down  only lets you enter specific things to enter it, like shapes.

Expo Logo

The colors on the logo represent the flag o UAE. The  dark to light effect show how Dubai has changed from being a plain desert to something amazing, it also shows Dubai's future as being bright. Between the E and X there is a shape of a house, that shows how Dubai has amazing buildings with architecture.

Databases

What is a database?
A database is a system for storing and taking care of data. A database engine can sort, change or serve the information on the database.

How are databases used?
Databases are used to store information about something for example the hospital would store medical history of their patients.

Why are they useful?
They are useful because it gives you the information right away as well as are a way of being more organized.

The Yr 7 PowerPoint Evaluation

For the past few weeks in I.T we have been making a introductory PowerPoint. The question below are for the evaluation.





Will the presentation be useful to Year 6 pupils?

Yes  it should because the presentation is quite informative allowing the students an idea of how its like. 


Will it help make them more familiar with the school?

I'm sure it will help them be more familiar with the school because it lets the students see that the school is very friendly 


Will it make them look forward to starting Year 7?

I think it will make them look forward to starting Year 7 as we have explained how amazing and enjoyable school is.


Has the information been presented in different ways, e.g. photos and multimedia?

 Kind of, we have  used video however to present the information.


Is the way information is presented engaging?

A little, we used hyperlinks throughout the PowerPoint.


Have they chosen the most effective way of presenting that particular type of information?

Yes, we used hyperlinks throughout the PowerPoint with pictures to give a clue on the subject. 


Has the presentation been organised in an appropriate way?

Yes, the presentation has been organised in a appropriate way.


Is it clear what the presentation is telling you or does it jump around from one thing to another?

it is clear what the presentation is telling; we did most of the subjects and then wrote about the Head Teacher.

How to create a Hotspot

  1.  Firstly the  combination keys ''windows + R'' needs to be pressed this will create a run box, you need to type ''ncpa.cpl'' and hit enter.
  2.  When your network connection open you need to right click on your wireless network adapter and choose ''properties'' from the context menu.
  3. Switch to the ''sharing'' tab and click the first box which will allow other internet users to connect through you computer's internet connection, ensure you unclick the second box before you move on to press the okay button.
  4. Right click in the bottom left of your screen to launch a prompt, click ''command prompt (admin)''
  5. The next thing we need to do is to setup the wireless network, use the ''netsh'' command, where ''ssid'' is the name of you network and ''key'' is the password which you want the users to connect with.
  6. The network is ready to start broadcasting.
